Larry Nevers Jr.
I am originally from Maine and have been living and climbing in Washington state since June of `93. I am primarily a trad climber and like to climb alpine rock routes. I also do some mountaineering and ice climbing. Some routes I've done include; The North Ridge of Mt. Stewart via the Gendarme, Liberty Bell via The Becky route, The Barber Pole and 3 attempts on Liberty Crack and the North Face of Chair Peak. I've summited Mt. Rainier twice, once via the Disappointment Clever and also Gibaltar Ledge. Both times I've sworn never to go up again, but you know how that goes. Some routes and area's that I want to get to in the next year or so are; South Face of Prusik Peak, the Bugaboo's and the NorthWest Buttress of Mt. Slesse. (My youngest daughter is named for this mountain.) I'm still waiting for my first trip to Yosemite, so far it's been 7 years since I moved to Washington and something always comes up.
Originally I moved to Washington as a Sea Kayak guide in the San Juan Islands but moved to Yakima after the birth of my first daughter. I have left the outdoor recreation field and have trained myself as a computer network engineer; I have multiple Microsoft certifications and many more on the horizon. After a number of years working in the recreation industry I was starting to lose interest in all my favorite activities. All my fun things had become my job and no longer fun! Now that I've moved into the computer field all my funs things are fun once again. If you're interested you can click on my name and go see my family website also.
